MRCPsych examinations have changed. They have brought with them new challenges and opportunities. The pass rates have reflected the different competencies that candidates are expected to possess but have little opportunity to learn during their day to day clinical practice. To be successful, it is important for preparation to not only be comprehensive, but also focussed to the exam.

Our group consists of experienced clinicians including current Royal College examiners, who are also enthusiastic trainers. We are successfully running a CASC course with good response, and results that are higher than the national pass rate. We will soon introduce online and classroom courses for the theory exams.
